How to Use the Pendulum Hip Press

Hey guys, we’re going to learn how to use the pendulum hip press. So, this is kind of like a leg press, but it’s going to more work your abductors and adductors.

So, the first thing is is right here. This you want all the way up to the front. If you have it down here, this is going to stop you from going the full range of motion. Also, make sure this is at a one.

So, we’re going to load our plates right here. This is a super light machine, so you probably need to add more weight than you typically would on a leg press. I also call this our giving birth machine because it puts you in that position.

So, next to get the adjustment of your seat, I like to put my feet up here. I like to be relatively close. So, what you’re going to do is you’re going to press this handle in. I’m 5’1 and like to be on a number four.

So, then you’re going to put your feet up. I like to do about hipwidth apart. You’re press straight forward and then these two handles you’re gonna press out. Now you are ready to go.

So we’re going to bend at the knees and you’re going to come straight back. Knees outside your chest. And then to re-rack it, handles come in.

That’s your hip press!
